Poem of hope for our future

On 23 September 2014, 26 year old poet Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner, from the Marshall Islands, addressed the Opening Ceremony of the UN Secretary-General's Climate Summit. Adressing her baby, she makes it clear what climate change is all about - our survival, first of all the survival of those nations that are causing climate change the least.

Watch and share this movie widely to help get everybody on board for effective action. And no, not just by turning off the lights. We are well beyond that. We - the rich CO2 emitting nations - have to be willing to enjoy life with less - which can be so much more. Just try it out and enjoy!
